Ebro Darden hopes that the Young Money trio of Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj will eventually release a combined album, or at the very least, an EP.
The music executive and radio talent argued for more songs from the three superstars on the most recent episode of Apple Music’s Rap Life Review roundtable.
He started by saying, “A Drake/Wayne collaboration album is something we, as Hip Hop fans, deserve.” or simply an EP. Or five joints, seven joints, Drake/Wayne/Nicki. Something. I believe that Drake and Nicki are in love. They’re cool when the schedules line up. You know that he was on her album?
In the early 2010s, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj were inseparable; but, when Nicki and Drake’s careers took off, they began to appear together less frequently.
At the somewhat postponed third and last night of Drake’s October World Weekend event in August 2022, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake performed together for the first time in nearly ten years at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.
Birdman stated last summer that although his company has received offers of $4 million to $5 million for Weezy alone, the price would increase fourfold if Nicki and Drizzy were included.
He remarked, “You know, Nicki and Drake make about $15–20 million a show.”  “Big facts.  A large sum of [money] is at stake.  $4–5 million each show.  We’ve had offers ranging from $4 to $5 million per performance.  That excludes Nicki and Drake.
The former YMCMB superstars have always been involved with ig money. Â Birdman disclosed in 2021 that, after signing a record deal with Universal Records, he allegedly handed Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne a total of $1.4 billion.
He claimed, “I can honestly say that when Universal gave me a bag, brother, I gave Wayne between $400 and $500 million, Drake received roughly $500 million, and Nicki received between $300 and $400 million out of my pocket.” Â “No cap. Â Ask them if you don’t believe them.
Drake was still signed to the label until a few years ago, and he is unquestionably one of the most well-known musicians in the world. Â However, OVO Sound and Republic Records have subsequently distributed his works, beginning with 2021’s Certified Lover Boy.
He nevertheless pledged to stick with the empire that Birdman and his brother Slim established in a 2019 interview with Rap Radar. Â He declared, “I will always be a part of the Cash Money/Young Money imprint.” Â “And, as I mentioned, my loyalty is always there.”
