Drake’s Air Drake Sparks Aspirations as DJ Khaled Eyes Luxury Jet Ownership
Drake’s soaring success isn’t just measured by chart-topping hits — it’s also symbolized by Air Drake, the rapper’s customized Boeing 767, which continues to be a beacon of luxury and aspiration in the music industry. His ownership of the massive private aircraft has inspired fellow artists, including DJ Khaled, to dream of reaching similar heights — quite literally.
A few months before earning his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, DJ Khaled shared his ambition during a trip to Los Angeles with Fat Joe. At the time, he was traveling aboard a chartered Bombardier Global 7500, a long-range private jet favored by business elites and celebrities alike. In a candid social media post, Khaled wrote, “May Allah grant me one of these things someday. Global 7500,” acknowledging both the luxury and the business practicality of such a jet.
But as dreams evolve, so do tastes. In recent Instagram posts, DJ Khaled has seemingly upgraded his aspirations, shifting his gaze from the sleek Global 7500 to something even grander: a Boeing 767. One video shows his black Rolls-Royce Phantom parked beside the enormous jet, with Khaled quipping, “I’m just window shopping, I want to feel like Drake!” He further explained that owning such an aircraft would allow him to travel the world in comfort alongside his family and close friends.
In another video, Khaled walks viewers through the interior of the jet, marveling at its sheer size and elegance. He confesses his love for flying and expresses his desire to one day experience the luxury of Boeing ownership for himself.
The aircraft in question appears to be a Boeing 767-200(ER) — one of the largest private planes in existence — owned by billionaire and Miami-based attorney John H. Ruiz. With only 121 ever produced, the plane is a rarity. This particular model features over 2,000 square feet of interior space, complete with two staterooms, two lounges, a formal dining area, a private cinema, a DJ booth, and four bathrooms. It was lavishly renovated by VIP Completions, a Florida-based firm specializing in luxury aircraft interiors.
While it’s unclear whether the estimated $38 million aircraft is currently for sale, DJ Khaled — with a net worth of around $75 million — could potentially make such a dream a reality. For now, Air Drake remains the ultimate symbol of rap royalty, ambition, and sky-high success.
