New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne not attending Super Bowl LIX, announcing “something special”
New Orleans native and Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne announced he won’t be at the Super Bowl in New Orleans but says he has “something very special” coming up.
In an Instagram story, Lil Wayne says he has been working on something very special and will announce it on Thursday, Feb. 6.
“I’ve been working on something very special, I got something exciting coming Thursday, Feb. 6, until then, I’m chillin,” said the rapper on Instagram.
In February 2024, Lil Wayne pitched to be the halftime performer in New Orleans but the NFL chose Grammy-Award winning rapper, Kendrick Lamar.
