FRANCE 4-1 ISRAEL: Tchouameni deserves captaincy; Camavinga scores and assists as France convincingly beat Israel

Camavinga was the star of the show as France beat Israel in their Nations League fixture. The Real Madrid midfielder was in the starting line-up, opened the scoring after seven minutes at the Bozsik Stadion in Hungary and also provided the assist for his team’s second goal. He was substituted in the 70th minute. Tchouameni also started and played 91 minutes. Gandelman equalised for Israel in the 24th minute and Nkunku, from Camavinga’s pass, made it 2-1 before the half-hour mark.

In the second half, France completed the rout with goals from Guendouzi and Barcola in the 87th and 89th minutes respectively. With the win, France are now second in the group with six points, one point behind leaders Italy. France’s next game is in Belgium on Monday.

France defeated Israel 4-1 on Thursday night at Bozsik Arena in Hungary to win their second straight Nations League match.

Eduardo Camavinga, a midfielder, gave Les Bleus the lead, but Omri Gandelman pulled one back in the 24th minute.

Four minutes later, Christopher Nkunku gave France their lead back courtesy to some outstanding work by Camavinga and himself, who linked with the Chelsea forward close to the penalty area.

Les Bleus secured the victory with a late double from Matteo Guendouzi and Bradley Barcola.

As a result, France is now one point behind leaders Italy in their Nations League A group after three games, with six points.

Israel, meanwhile, has lost all three of their games and is currently looking for their first point of the group stage, setting them up for an early relegation back to League B.

Omri Glazer, the Israeli goalkeeper, would be frustrated that he could not stop Camavinga’s goal because the Real Madrid midfielder’s shot from outside the box on the left was somewhat weak. However, Glazer mishandled his save and let the ball cross the line.

Gandelman headed in Oscar Gloukh’s cross to equalize the score for Israel with a well-executed move, but Theo Hernandez and William Saliba will regret not doing more to keep Gandelman from having so much time and space in the box.

Ligue des nations: Les Bleus écrasent Israël et s'offrent un peu de réconfort

In the 28th minute, Camavinga dribbled infield from the right side of the pitch, outrunning two Israeli defenders before laying off to Nkunku, who held the ball up near the edge of the penalty area with his back to goal, rolled it past defender Ilay Feingold, and finished from the left of the six-yard box.

In the 87th minute, Matteo Guendouzi scored his third goal. Theo Hernandez started the move from his own half, moving the ball into the box and combining with Bradley Barcola. The AC Milan left-back then squared a pass to Guendouzi, who was coming up fast and scored into the bottom-left corner from the edge of the box.

After excellent work by Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, and Guendouzi, Barcola shot into the top-right corner from within the box on the left, giving them a chance for a fourth.
