Kendrick Lamar has made a significant real estate investment in the affluent coastal city of Manhattan Beach. The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper reportedly purchased a sleek, newly constructed mansion for over $9.7 million in an off-market transaction.
Details about the property are scarce since it was not publicly listed for sale. However, given that the home was built by Powers Development, a renowned local luxury homebuilder, it is expected to feature high-end amenities such as a designer kitchen, a luxurious master suite, and possibly multiple wet bars.
The contemporary residence spans approximately 5,350 square feet across three stories and boasts four bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. While not directly on the oceanfront, the house offers sunset water views from its upper level, where there is also a spacious outdoor balcony. Additionally, the property includes a three-car garage, a small front yard with a patio, and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.
Manhattan Beach is known for its laid-back atmosphere and celebrity residents, including professional athletes like ice hockey star Ryan Miller, who is building a contemporary mansion next door to Lamar’s new home. Other notable figures in the area include Blake Griffin, Maria Sharapova, Luke Walton, and Zooey Deschanel.
This isn’t Lamar’s first foray into real estate; he previously purchased properties in Eastvale and Calabasas. His latest acquisition further solidifies his presence in Southern California’s luxury housing market.
Gary Kooba of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices represented the Manhattan Beach listing, while Mark Norton of Palm Realty Boutique represented Lamar in the transaction.
