Arsenal targets Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin as potential peplacement for Aaron Ramsdale for £20M

Arsenal is facing the possibility of losing goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the summer of 2024. The star, born in 1998, lost his position as the first-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya. As a result, Ramsdale is reportedly looking to leave in search of more playing time, which would help him compete for the number one spot in the England team.

Newcastle, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are interested in recruiting Aaron Ramsdale, with Arsenal potentially earning about £15 to £20 million from his sale. If Ramsdale departs, coach Mikel Arteta will need to bring in a new goalkeeper.

According to COPE, Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is being considered by Arsenal as a potential recruit this summer. Lunin gained the trust of coach Carlo Ancelotti last season by performing exceptionally well following a serious ιnjury to Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.

Lunin’s contributions were significant in Real Madrid’s successful season, which saw them win the Spanish Suρer Cup, La Liga, and the Champions League. Arsenal is prepared to spend £20 million on Lunin, using the money from selling Ramsdale to fund the purchаse.

However, acquiring Lunin will not be easy for Arsenal. Due to his impressive performances, Real Madrid is planning to reward the 25-year-old goalkeeper with a new contract and a significant salary increase.
