Martin Odegaard has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Season for the second consecutive year, following the results of the fan vote. The Norwegian midfielder topped the poll with 33% of the total votes, with Declan Rice and William Saliba finishing in second and third place, respectively.
Odegaard’s recognition marks him as the fifth player in Arsenal’s history to win the Player of the Season award in back-to-back seasons, joining the illustrious ranks of Liam Brady, Ian Wright, Thierry Henry, and Bukayo Saka. Odegaard’s consistent excellence throughout the season justifies this honor, as he featured in 48 out of 52 matches for the Gunners across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists.
According to data from Arsenal’s official website, Odegaard created more scoring opportunities from open play than any other player in the Premier League last season, with a total of 88 chances. Furthermore, only four players in the league covered more ground than Odegaard, who amassed a total distance of 401 kilometers.
Congratulations to Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and William Saliba for their outstanding contributions and well-deserved recognition this season!
