“Coming 2 America,” the newest sequel from Eddie Murphy, takes place in two different worlds: Prince Akeem’s former life in Queens, New York, and the affluent royal kingdom of Zamunda, which is modeled after a rapper’s estate.

Murphy grew up in poor housing in Brooklyn. After leaving “Saturday Night Live,” the comedian began performing stand-up and acting on his own.

The 59-year-old shares a $20 million property in Beverly Hills and a $15 million island in the Bahamas with his family.
