Mohamed Elneny confirms leaving Arsenal after 8 years of hard work to pursue the project of establishing a new club: “The eight best years of my life…”

Both Mohamed Elneny and Cedric have left Arsenal, according to the club.

When their contracts expire on June 30, the two will depart from the club.Elneny, who is 31 years old, signed with Arsenal in 2016 and played in 161 games for the club in London. But the Egyptian only managed to get 15 appearances in the last two seasons due to injuries and a general decline in favourability.

After joining Arsenal on loan from Southampton in January 2020, Cedric, who is 32 years old, signed a permanent deal that summer as a free agent. After spending the second half of the 2022–23 season on loan with Fulham, where he made six appearances, the Portuguese player played 64 games for Arsenal.

Among the Arsenal junior players to leave is goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, who was on loan to League Two side Wrexham last year. On June 30, Hubert Graczyk, Kido Taylor Hart, Tyreece John-Jules, and Tyreece John-Jules will all take off.

Arsenal also mentioned that they are still in negotiations with goalkeeper Karl Hein, defender Reuell Walters, and winger Amario Cozier-Duberry. However, Walters is reportedly leaving Arsenal after turning down a new contract offer, according to last month’s story in The Athletic.
