Arsenal star William Saliba visits Cameroon and meets legend Samuel Eto’o

Arsenal defender William Saliba has returned to his roots after visiting Cameroon during his ιnjury recovery.

Despite being a French international, Saliba chose to represent the country of his birth, although his mother hails from Cameroon.

Currently in the African country, Saliba took the opportunity to visit iconic striker Samuel Eto’o at his FECAFOOT office.

In photos shared on social media, the Arsenal star was also spotted having a good time with his family in Yaoundé, enjoying the local delicacies.

Saliba has been out with an ιnjury since March, and his absence seems to have cost Arsenal the title after losing their grip at the top of the table.

As reported by Metro, the French defender will be out for the rest of the season. His performances, however, have guaranteed the Gunners a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League as Arsenal are set to finish the season in the top two positions.

Saliba has been a completely transformed player since returning to London at the start of the season following the end of his loan at Olympique Marseille.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto’o celebrated his compatriot Francis Ngannou after the MMA fighter secured a new deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

The Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist has been out of contract since January after failing to renew his contract with the UFC (Ultimate FigҺting Championship).
