Further strengthening their ranks, PUMA has announced a new long-term collaboration with Kai Havertz, a German international and Arsenal player, who will be sporting the Future silo.
A lot has changed for Kai Havertz in the past few months. The German international has gone from playing for Chelsea in South London to Arsenal in North London. With that transition came the sight of him training in blackout PUMA Future Ultimate footwear, which further hinted at his impending departure from Nike and the likelihood that his contract would not be renewed. He began donning an all-red pair during matches in September, thus confirming the deal. Now, with the announcement of a long-term collaboration, PUMA has made it official.
“Growing up in Germany PUMA has always been an iconic brand with some of the greatest players ever wearing their products,” Havertz said, referring to the new collaboration. When it comes to football footwear and their collaboration with athletes, PUMA has always been a pioneering brand. I knew I had found my perfect fit when I met with the team and talked about our future goals. They have a deep understanding of athletes and a genuine desire to work together with their players; the environment is truly one of family.
As a player, I was excited to switch to the FUTURE boot because it is unique and works wonders with my game. In addition to their on-field success, PUMA is also causing a stir in the worlds of fashion and sports. We have some fascinating ideas in the works, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings.
The following statement was made by Johan Adamsson, PUMA’s Global Director of Sports Marketing and Sports Licensing: “We’re thrilled to have Kai join our family and begin the next chapter of his career together.” So much has Kai accomplished thus far. We have no doubt that he will continue to be an inspiration to his club and country for years to come because to his character and optimism. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate closely on numerous intriguing projects with him, since he is an exceptional athlete with lofty goals both on and off the field.
