A new limited-edition range collaborating with Maharishi, a London fashion label, blends adidas performance clothing with streetwear with an emphasis on London was just launched by Arsenal.
Wearables from the collection, which spans both pre- and on-field activities, pay homage to the club’s history through the use of embroidered and printed emblems, and its unique camouflage pattern draws inspiration from the Lunar Year of the Dragon. The collection, which features players such as Declan Rice and Reiss Nelson and promotes unity and community, is worn by both the meš’s and wŠ¾men’s teams.
Despite having its own loyal fan base, adidas Spezial was never really successful in the US. The Handball Spezial and other fan favorites are now more widely available because to the brand’s tireless efforts over the last year to reintroduce the assortment to that market. More people will likely discover about the brand and its most iconic sneaker shortly because of an October partnership with Maharishi.
This is not the first time the London-based label has worked with the Three Stripes; in 2014, it was also teamed up with Undefeated and the sneaker manufacturer. Despite the aforementioned collaboration, this is their first release in nearly a decade, following numerous collaborations with Nike, Reebok, and Mizuno. Mostly composed of black suedes with a distinctive gum bottom, the two have dressed the classic Spezial figure in what seems like a subdued palette for their reunion. In addition to the gilded “MAHARISHI” mark, a subtle camouflage pattern appears on the side stripes upon closer inspection.
