UEFA has appointed 34-year-old Francois Letexier to officiate the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Real Madrid and Manchester City, set to take place on April 10th at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Letexier previously refereed the Champions League group stage match between Real Madrid and Napoli on November 29th, a game in which the home team emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline. This will mark Letexier’s fourth match in the Champions League this season. His compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni will assist him in this fixture.
In the early hours of April 10th, the remaining quarter-final between Arsenal and Bayern Munich will be officiated by referee Glenn Nyberg. His assistants Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Soderqvist will support him. Notably, Nyberg is even younger than Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, aged 35 compared to Neuer’s 38. Nyberg previously officiated the group stage match between Bayern and Manchester United, a game where the German side triumphed 4-3. Additionally, Nyberg has also officiated one of Arsenal’s matches this season, a 2-1 victory over Sevilla in the group stage.

Bukayo Saka, who missed the win against Luton Town earlier in the week, is back in action and ready to start. On the other hand, Bayern Munich has some ιnjury concerns leading up to the match. However, Coach Thomas Tuchel expects Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sane to be available.
Kingsley Coman may not recover in time for the trip to London, while young midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic could also be absent. Former Tottenham players Eric Dier and Harry Kane are both predicted to feature in Bayern Munich’s starting lineup at the Emirates.
