Metallica Unveils Second Wave of Limited Edition Colored Vinyl Releases
Following the resounding success of the initial phase of their colored vinyl reissues, Metallica, the Bay Area thrash metal giants, have now announced the eagerly anticipated second phase of their back catalogue vinyl releases.
Included in this phase is the classic cover album “Garage Inc,” which will be available on limited edition ‘Fade to Blue’ colored wax. Additionally, the often-criticized 2003 album “St. Anger” will receive a ‘Some Kind of Orange’ pressing. Joining these classics are two more recent albums: “Deаth Magnetic” and “Hardwired To Self Destruct,” making their vinyl debut on ‘Magnetic Silver’ and ‘Flame Orange,’ respectively.
Metallica’s latest announcement has already sparked excitement among heavy metal enthusiasts and record collectors worldwide, eager to add more vinyl rarities from the band to their collections.
The second phase will kιck off on April 5th and run until July 5th, with a new reissue landing in stores every month. All four albums are currently available for pre-order through the band’s official store.
Astute fans may notice the absence of “Load” and “Reload” from this round of reissues. However, Metallica has grander plans for these albums, as hinted in a recent Instagram post suggesting special edition box sets akin to the band’s colossal collector’s edition of “The Black Album” released in 2021.
