Apocalyptica, the renowned Finnish ensemble, is set to once again mesmerize audiences with their rendition of Metallica’s iconic tracks.
Their latest announcement introduces “Plays Metallica Vol. 2,” slated for release on June 7th. This album serves as a sequel to their groundbreaking 1996 debut, “Plays Metallica by Four Cellos,” which showcased their distinctive fusion of cello and metal through instrumental interpretations of classics like “Enter Sandman” and “Master of Puppets.”
“After nearly two decades of anticipation, we’re thrilled to unveil another Metallica album,” shares Apocalyptica. “The time has finally arrived!”
“Plays Metallica Vol. 2 takes listeners on a journey through Apocalyptica’s evolution, from past to present and beyond,” the group elaborates. “Our aim was to inject a fresh perspective into the original energy and emotions of these timeless Metallica songs.”
