The announcement of winners for Metallica’s ‘For Whom The Band Tolls!’ marching band competition is scheduled for this week

The announcement of winners for Metallica’s ‘For Whom The Band Tolls!’ marching band competition is scheduled for this week. The renowned heavy metal band, Metallica, generously allowed marching bands to incorporate their songs into halftime show performances and compete in a dedicated contest.

West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico University secured spots in the top 5 for Division 2 & 3 College. Both institutions, represented by The Sound of West Texas Buffalo Marching Band and the Greyhound Sound, respectively, submitted videos showcasing their halftime shows featuring songs by Metallica during the fall.

In each category, including High School, Division 1 College, and Division 2 & 3 College, professional judges provided by Conn-Selmer, a manufacturer of musical instruments, narrowed down the competing bands to five finalists. The ultimate decision on the winners will be made by Metallica themselves.

The finalists for Division 2 & 3 College are Blinn College, Eastern New Mexico University, Manchester University, West Texas A&M University, and Western Illinois University. The anticipation is high as the winners are eagerly awaited to be unveiled later this week.
