METALLICA Bassist Robert Trujillo Shares His Favorite Songs from the M72 World Tour
In a recent interview with Classic Rock, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo discussed his favorite songs to perform live during the M72 World Tour this year. Trujillo highlighted the following selections:
“I’ve truly enjoyed playing the new songs. ‘Shadows Follow’ and ‘You Must Burn!’ are personal favorites because of their power grooves and the collaborative vocal moments. These tracks from the new record bring a lot of fun to our performances. ‘The Call Of Ktulu’ is a bass player’s delight with its melodic statements, keeping me on my toes.
It’s a rewarding experience, especially when we all come together on stage to celebrate the outro riff. Another cherished moment is playing ‘Orion,’ where we genuinely enjoy uniting on stage. There’s an instinctual connection during certain songs where we come together, sharing the spotlight and headbanging in unison. It’s always a gratifying experience.”
