An infinity pool with a cascading waterfall overlooks another level of the property, providing a picturesque and serene backdrop. Additionally, the residence boasts a sports field for recreational activities.

Interestingly, the decision to feature The Weeknd’s mansion in “The Idol” came about after discussions between the artist and Sam Levinson, the show’s creator. Levinson shared his desire to return to the pilot episode and recreate the initial vision on a smaller budget. This led to the choice of using Abel’s house as a cost-cutting measure.

In an interview with W Magazine, Sam Levinson expressed his conviction that revisiting the series’ beginnings necessitated a reduction in funding. The decision to utilize The Weeknd’s mansion as a filming location not only allowed for substantial savings but also maintained the lavish aesthetic that aligns with the show’s narrative.

“The Idol” showcases the intersection of music, fame, and the darker side of stardom, offering viewers a glimpse into the world of an artist navigating the complexities of success. The inclusion of The Weeknd’s mansion in the series enhances the authenticity and allure of the story, while also serving as a visual testament to the artist’s own achievements.
