Biles visited her big Texas property she is developing with NFL star husband Jonathan Owens.
The 26-year-old gold winner, who returned to gymnastics after two years and hopes to compete in the 2024 Olympics, took a break from her busy schedule to check on her new home.
She posted and Instagrammed photos of her massive home’s progress.
Simone was beaming as she posed in her enormous mansion and showed off its wooden plank interior.
In her Instagram Story, the athlete seemed thrilled that one room has drywall.
She said, ‘We have drywall’ with tears.
Simone posted a photo of the stunning view and the sliding doors after finishing the drywall.
In her first photo, the athlete threw her hands up with her house keys and smiled as wooden beams stood behind her.
She also posted a snap of her dirt-covered footwear she changed into from her Prada slides before entering the property.
Simone posted a photo of a section of the home under construction with high ceilings and wooden beams.
She ended with a photo of her sliding glass doors overlooking the lake behind their property.
She tagged photos ‘Eeeep.’
Her home progress has been updated frequently by the gymnast.
Just last month, she showed the hallway and sliding doors.
‘Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones in my nightmares lol,’ she joked in another image of a long, under-construction corridor.
Simone then showed fans the lush lake behind the residence.
‘This is my favorite view,’ she exclaimed.
The Olympian then showed the vast mansion’s exterior, exclaiming, ’tiles are in,’ with many exclamation points.
Simone announced in March that she and Jonathan, who married in April, were building a home.
She posted a selfie of her and the 28-year-old footballer on a vast piece of empty land with the caption: ‘A home is made with love and dreams. Celebrate groundbreaking.
She has been posting updates on Instagram since then.
She celebrated with her followers when the first home steps were finished in August.
She said the second story would have a master bedroom with a balcony, game room, wet bar, theater, and bathroom.
Simone grew up in Houston, where the property is said to reside.
After two years away from gymnastics due to mental health concerns that prompted her to withdraw from various 2020 Games events, the athlete returned triumphantly in August.
She stated she had ‘the twisties’—a mental impediment that makes gymnasts feel ‘lost in the air.’
She later claimed that Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse of her brought it to life.
Over 150 gymnasts were assaulted by Larry, the former national team doctor, during his 30-year tenure. In 2019, she revealed the ordeal left her suicidal.
She told Today in September that she intends to compete at the Games in Paris next summer, but she ‘will have to take care of herself’ more than in Tokyo and is in treatment to’make sure everything is aligned.’
