Metallica Announce 2024 Festival Appearances, M72 World Tour kicks off with two shows at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany

Having recently concluded the inaugural North American leg of their M72 World Tour, Metallica is extending their 2024 schedule with festival appearances. Widely regarded as one of the most sought-after hard rock headliners globally, the band’s presence at major festivals remаins in high demand. Their previous headline slot at the 20th edition of the UK’s Download festival, alongside Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon, underscored their enduring appeal.

Following three GRAMMY Award nominations for their latest album, 72 Seasons, and record-breаking attendance on their world tour, Metallica is set to headline I-Days in Milan, Italy, in May 2024. Joining forces with Green Day, Sum 41, and more yet to be announced, the band is expected to deliver a memorable performance. Passes for I-Days go on sale on Monday, November 20, with a pre-sale exclusive for My Life Nation members on November 17, both starting at 12 pm CET.

Meanwhile, Tons of Rock Festival in Olso, Norway, featuring Metallica, Judas Priest, Tool, Greta Van Fleet, and others, has already begun selling four-day tickets, with single-day passes available from this Friday, November 17.

Resuming their M72 World Tour in 2024, Metallica kicks off with two shows at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany, on May 24 and 26. Fans are eager to see if the band introduces previously unperformed tracks during this leg. After headlining shows across Finland, Poland, Denmark, and Spain, Metallica returns to North America in August, launching another leg at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Last week, Metallica earned three GRAMMY Award nominations: Best Rock Performance for “Lux Æterna,” Best Metal Performance for “72 Seasons,” and Best Rock Album for 72 Seasons, competing against Foo Fighters, Greta Van Fleet, Paramore, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Concluding their 2023 touring commitments with a pair of shows at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, Metallica remаins a dominant force in the global rock scene.
