Joe Budden Hears Complaints From Fans Drake supposedly dispatched him following Joe’s review of For All the Dog

Joe Budden revealed that Drake sent him some threatening texts in response to Joe’s review of Aubrey’s latest album, For All the Dogs.

Joe Budden Shares His Drake Emails

Joe Budden, the rapper-turned-podcaster, elaborated on his recent dispute with Drake on a new edition of his podcast, The Joe Budden Podcast. Joe claims that after criticizing Drizzy’s new album, he received a barrage of angry texts from the rapper.

After saying that he didn’t listen to the 55-second voice memo that accompanied the angry messages, Joe Budden reads aloud some of what Drake wrote, including a reference to Joe by his middle name and an immediate strike at Joe’s 2003 smash “Pump It Up.”

Drake’s DM reportedly states, “Take a chill pill, Anthony,” and Joe Budden shared this information. Take a libation. For nostalgia’s sake, put on some instrumental music and maybe even pen one of those “Fellas, do ya thing, let me do my thing” jams. Listening to some light radio fare could help you relax, pop

Because you brought up buddies and the b***hes, I f**k like you know anything about it, Drake continues in his messages. What you listen to in your spare time doesn’t matter to me since the people whose opinions do matter to me don’t have spare time.

With that, Drizzy says, “I also don’t care if you like or detest something, but don’t talk about my life and s**t like you trying to plant some seed or create som narrative and turn people against me. Dissert the tunes you like. Ignorance is bliss if you despise it. I don’t do well with malevolent intent, and hearing you say things like “I’m out here f**king 25-year-olds” makes me uncomfortable. Your dorky co-host can sit there and blab about “A gangster this and that,” but you should stick to the news, Jabroni.

Joe Budden Responds Sarcastically to Drake’s Angry Direct Messages

When confronted with Drake’s heated direct messages, Budden responds with a dismissive shrug. Joe says that he used to welcome every beef in his rap career, but that time is passed.

As Joe Budden puts it, “He thinks that this is like Views beef time,” referring to his tense history with Drake. I want to stress again how happy I am at this point in my life. I’m not a meat eater. I have no idea what you’re trying to say, but it’s cool.

And, as Budden points out, “it don’t work on me even if you did do it right now.” I’m not sure if folks are aware of the fact that these tactics never work on me. But that’s okay.

Where Did This Beef Between Drake and Joe Budden Come From?

Drake and Joe Budden’s history of feud stems from 2016, when the two had a falling out after some critical comments Budden made about Drizzy’s Views album, but the two have supposedly patched things up as of 2020. But after Drake released For All the Dogs at the end of last week, Joe Budden gave his opinion that the Toronto MC needed to start acting his age.

Drake retaliated viciously to Budden’s critiques, labeling Joe a “failure,” in an interview with Rolling Stone. That caused other artists to defend Drake by calling out Joe Budden, including Birdman and Dennis Graham, Drake’s father.
