After hearing Joe Budden criticize Drake’s For All the Dogs album on the latest episode of his podcast, the Canadian rapper has taken to Instagram to air his grievances in a lengthy message.
Drake Blasts Joe Budden Over For All the Dogs Album Disses.
Drake visited Akademiks’ Instagram on Saturday (October 7) and left a remark under a reshared footage of Joe Budden criticizing his album For All the Dogs on a recent edition of The Joe Budden Podcast. Joe Budden criticized OVO Sound’s CEO on “First Person Shooter” for mentioning celebrities like popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. The seasoned podcaster advised Drizzy to socialize with individuals of similar ages.
Canadian rapper AK wrote in the post’s comments section (see below) that Joe Budden had “failed at music” and that the Slaughterhouse member “had to make a career switch” in order to be successful. Drake said that Joe Budden is “the poster child of frustration and surrendering,” and that other musicians should not take their counsel from him. Drake commented, “you have failed at music,” to Akademik’s post. You abandoned it to do what you’re doing in this tape, even though this is your main source of income. Artists, keep in mind that you’re witnessing a failure provide advice on how to achieve success based on his own experience…advice from a quitter on how to live a long and happy life…You changed careers because the ideas that keep popping into your head were making it impossible to pay the bills. Meanwhile, the raps you wrote brought 450 men in faded Enyce denim to your gigs so they could screw their face to Mood Muzik 29 and believe you were the goat.
In his own words, Drake pleaded with artists to “pls to any artist that’s doing what they feel is right don’t allow these opinions effect your thinking after the fact…When it comes to giving up and giving in, this guy pretty much has it all. Since we never hung up your jersey when you retired, we can’t even tell you what number you wore. This is how we know who you are…You stopped making rap music not because you had finished everything you needed to do, but because it was making you miserable. This is a man projecting his own self-hatred and the fact that I did and am doing everything he wanted to accomplish for himself onto me, and I never want future generations to believe that the entire “everybody’s entitled to their opinion” is a legitimate thing. I have a 767 if you need it explained more simply. He has a small 973 house and occasionally takes first class flights.
Drake Gets a Rebuttal From Joe Budden
Joe Budden responded to Drizzy’s detailed comment about him that day on Akademik’s Instagram, as seen below. According to the media figure, Drake’s reaction was prompted by his immaturity.
If you don’t, “@champagnepapi you’ll grow up sooner or later,” Joe Budden tweeted to champagnepapi. “Father time is undefeated.”
Joe Budden Attacks Drake’s “For All the Dogs” Album Lyrics
After Joe Budden ripped up Drizzy’s new album, For All the Dogs, on his podcast of the same name, the Toronto rapper responded with a lengthy Instagram post. In the video seen below, the seasoned podcaster goes on a rage about Drake mentioning young people, such as the popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, in the lyrics of “First Person Shooter.” Joe advised Drake to switch to an adult-oriented sound and style.
He’s doing it for the kids, man. After listening to the record in its entirety, he exclaimed, “Yo dog, I had to look up how old this n***a was.” You are currently 36 years old. Twenty days from now is your birthday. This question also had me turning to Google. You’re entering the ripe old age of 37. Separate yourself from some of the younger thugs.
“I want to hear adult Drake rapping for adult people,” said the rapper. He’s in it for the fame and money and the young fans. I don’t think he’s trying to rap for me. I’m able to accept that.
Joe continued his criticism of Drake’s rapping in another video, saying that he should be more like J. Cole, who featured on “First Person Shooter.”
