The court sent Drake a notice to attend the murder trial of rapper XXXtentecion to testify or appear in court.

The defense attorney for one of the three original suspects on trial for the murder of XXXtentacion in 2018 has alleged that male rapper Drake is the perpetrator of this incident.

Previously, this lawyer Padilla sent a subpoena asking Drake to appear in court last month, before the trial officially began. However, Drake did not appear to testify afterward. This lawyer asked Drake to present the reason for his absence and the judge approved. Thus, Drake is required to be present at the next trial to testify for this case on February 24.

As of now, no evidence in the case has been presented that links it to Drake. However, lawyer Padilla still believes that Drake is completely involved in the murder of XXXtentacion. In addition to Drake, a number of other potential witnesses who are famous hip-hop artists were also named including Quavo, Joe Budden and 6ix9ine.

Prosecutors still insist that XXXtentacion’s murder is not related to Drake but is related to the three suspects in custody. If convicted of first-degree murder, all three suspects will face life in prison.

In fact, XXXtentacion and Drake had a feud in 2017, when the late star asserted that Drake “stealed” the melody in his song. XXXtentacion even posted a creepy status line: “If anyone intends to kill me, it’s Drake.”

After this post, X spoke up to confirm that his account was “hacked”. However, just 4 months later, XXXtentacion was actually murdered at the age of 20 in Florida (USA).
