Lil Wayne leaves the 50 Cent performance following a backstage shove.
It seems that Lil Wayne was really angry the other night.
According to Page Six, the rap icon was scheduled to appear as a special guest at 50 Cent’s Los Angeles concert but stormed off before taking the stage. He was reportedly scheduled to appear as one of the evening’s surprise acts at the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night, alongside the “In Da Club” singer. (It was the same performance that Fiddy struck a spectator in the head with a flying microphone.)
However, insiders claim that as Wayne was preparing to take the stage, a member of the backstage tour crew pushed the “Lollipop” rapper out of the way, possibly unaware of who he was, which reportedly incensed him. Wayne was nowhere to be seen when it came time for him to accompany the “Get Rich or Ԁie Tryin'” singer on stage.
A backstage source added, “He just stormed out.” “He spent a total of about twenty minutes inside the building.” Luckily, Fiddy’s “Final Lap” tour brought him onstage with a number of major hip-hop artists, including Nas, YG, Chris Brown, and Tyga. (We’ve heard Saweetie and Tyler the Creator were also present in the audience.)
The night he also made headlines when Fiddy threw one of the mics, inadvertently striking a radio host in the forehead, presumably because he was annoyed with a run of malfunctioning ones. The rapper reported it to the local police, and after it left a terrible cut, she was made a susρect in a violent case. Scott Leemon, Curtis’s attorney, told Page Six in a statement on Thursday that his client “would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.” “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon,” Leemon said. Regarding Wayne’s purported departure, neither a representative for Wayne nor a representative for 50 Cent responded to our inquiries.
